Survey Suggests Big City Residents Have Healthier Life

By wochit 14 October 2016

A new survey suggests residents of big cities are healthier than those in smaller communities because of sidewalks, parks, and available public transportation. A nation wide gallop poll Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C. all scored high on a metric that measured individual health. The poll gauged the rates of smoking, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and depression. But the key components of the survey included an ease for walking and biking, parks and public transit. The bottom five cities were Tulsa; Durham, North Carolina; Indianapolis; Oklahoma City and Fort Wayne.
