Starbucks uses predictive analytics 

Starbucks uses its loyalty card and mobile app to collect and analyze customer data. They announced plans for personalization way back in 2016.

Starbucks uses predictive analytics to serve customers with personalized marketing messages. The messages include suggestions when they are approaching a local store as well as offers that are aimed at increasing the customer’s average order value.

 

Alibaba opens a fashion AI Store

Alibaba opens brick and motor “FashionAI” store in Hong Kong to streamline the fashion retail experience through AI. The store has intelligent garment tags that detect when the item is touched and smart mirrors that display clothing information and suggest coordinating items isn’t it fascinating? Alibaba also aspires to launch a virtual wardrobe app that will allow customers to see the outfits they tried on in-store.

 

Custom made Nikes in 90 minutes

Nike launched a system in 2017 for customers to design their sneakers in-store. The “Nike Makers’ experience” a move towards extreme customization allowed customers to put on blank Nike Presto X sneakers and choose their own graphics and colors. With help of augmented reality and projection systems, the system then displays the design. The designs are then printed on the sneakers and made available in under 90 minutes.

 

BMW AI-enhanced sports car 

BMW’s sports car has the AI-enhanced technology to learn about its driver and then automatically adjust systems and cabin experience to suit an individual.

BMW also launched a personal assistant just as we have in a smartphone that enables drivers to communicate with their cars.

The brand’s focus on technology-enabled cars is suitably done to retain loyal customers. According to a survey, customers are willing to sacrifice vehicle color, style, and brand to get the latest technology.

 

Amazon launches Personalization

When it comes to AI, ML Amazon is a pioneer to offer personalized product recommendations, but it has been quite a challenge for the brand to extend these features to companies running their sites on Amazon Web Services.

In June 2021, Amazon announced Amazon Personalize, the same machine learning technology uses by Amazon.com to AWS customers for use in their applications.
