NASA Releases New Close Up Portraits Of Jupiter

By Editor 07 April 2017

The Hubble Space Telescope has taken new close-up portraits of our solar system's largest planet. The shots of Jupiter capture swirling clouds tethered in elaborate bands across the surface.NASA described those bands as persist changes in wind motion.Their colors also indicate their thickness and the height of the clouds. As the clouds of iced ammonia rise, they thicken and become lighter than the darker bands below. The Hubble captured its images from a distance of 415 million miles, as Jupiter is at it's closet point to Earth this year.
