In the wake of Covid-19, many individuals found themselves searching for new opportunities. After listening to the words of encouragement coming from his family, Suman finally decided to pick up the pencil & brush and start painting again. This time, with more intention and pride to showcase the highlights of India and pockets of fascination that he finds through daily inspirations. Being a registered architect, he had previously reflected his art in a large, technical scale and built aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces for individuals. Now, in Suman’s artwork you will find intricate details in the landscapes presented and a stark contrast amongst the world’s rich storyline and intense, colourful features. Suman’s usage of oil, acrylics watercolour and pencil colours create a canvas full of life. Realising that his future is rightfully held between his fingers, he recently launched his artwork into the realms of social media and decided that his focus was to be directed solely towards his passions. By using his deep seeded love of detail, Suman sources the subjects in our daily lives that receive the least recognition and uses it alongside his personal interests in music with his childhood memories in India to reach all of the corners of the many minds and souls that exist; in hopes of lighting a path into a perceptual beauty of the world for future generations to acknowledge and admire

Indian architecture is as old as the history of civilization. The rock-cut structures present the most spectacular piece of ancient Indian art specimen. As an architect, I always admire the magnificent & jaw dropping carving skills that intensified these architectural monuments. This inspired me to create this pencil colour depiction of the Ajanta & Ellora caves in 200mm X 270mm sketch paper.
